Feng Shui, an ancient Chinese philosophy, upholds that health is the most important aspect in your life. Health is the center of your existence, and without health, your life could be absent of balance and harmony. The key focus of Feng Shui and health benefits are to tackle poor health problems. Improved health with Feng Shui will allow you to seek balance and harmony in every facet of life. While health is the center of life, in Feng Shui it is also believed to be the center of the home. All rooms of your home, including your bedroom, living room, and kitchen, are believed to have a health area, which is the center of the room.

There are a number of ways that you can utilize Feng Shui and health in your home to bring balance to your life. First, remember that yellow is the color of health. This color is a great choice for decoration accents, such as pillows and curtains. Another important Feng Shui tip to remember is that nine is the number most often attributed to the enhancement of life. Arranging items in groups of nine may aid your health. By combining the color yellow and the number nine in elements throughout the home, you may achieve health benefits associated with Feng Shui.

Utilizing these ideas of the color yellow and the number nine as having benefits for Feng Shui and health, you can come up with a number of ways to incorporate positive elements into your home. For example, add some yellow flowers to your home, preferably in the center of a room or in the center on top of a piece of furniture. The middle of the coffee table in the living room or the middle of your kitchen table are two ideal places. One place in incorporate the use of the number nine is with wind chimes. Strategically place a wind chime made of nine chimes in a room with open windows. This is an excellent way to encourage positive Feng Shui and health. The open windows will allow sunlight and fresh air to enter your home.

Getting rid of unnecessary items throughout your home will improve both Feng Shui and health. Feng Shui philosophy emphasizes to avoid clutter, which is believed to bring a negative influence to health. Clutter should be eliminated from all areas of the home, even closets, bathrooms, garages, and attics. Not only should clutter be absent, but all items throughout the house should be neatly arranged in a fashion that is appealing to the eyes and promotes positive perceptions. If you want to improve Feng Shui and health by removing clutter, begin slowly and tackle one room at a time to avoid frustration. This approach will minimize the stress of rearranging your home into a more positive environment, and when the job is finished, you will be on your way to an entire home life free of stress.

A room in your home that can be a focal point for Feng Shui and health is your bathroom. The bathroom is associated with an area of dead chi, which can be reduced by incorporating living things such as plants or crystals into the room. Using bright colors in the bathroom can also reduce the affects of dead chi. One thing to be aware of is the arrangement of your bathroom door in relation to your bedroom. If the door is directly across from the bedroom, be sure to keep the door shut as much as possible. By separating this room from the rest of your house, you can prevent bad chi. Other ways to separate rooms are to use curtains or screens.

For the best Feng Shui and health, you need to also be aware of leaking fixtures, such as facets, showerheads, and toilets. Although water is an important part of Feng Shui, it has negative connotations if the water is being wasted, such as with leaks. Be sure to fix any leaky pipes, and your home will be healthier and closer to the ideals of Feng Shui.

Once the physical elements of your home have been adjusted to promote better Feng Shui and health, you need to also pay attention to the mental elements. Positive thinking is essential to maintaining a healthy home. A good way to encourage positive thinking is to allow a pleasant aroma to fill the air, such as lavender. A mixture of lemon or lavender essential oil and spring water makes a good spray for misting throughout the home. As you spray an aroma, repeat to yourself a few simple words, such as a wish for health. With your positive thinking, you can also keep in mind good health for your friends and family, as well as any person that may enter your home. Following these simple Feng Shui tips, you may just find yourself feeling healthier and better than you ever have before.

Citronella I wouldn’t recommend at all.

Lavender is tricky, because it depends on what you are using and how you are using it. A product with lavender oils, essential oils or tea tree oils is broken down through the skin in the same way as a topical estrogen would be- therefor not safe for women who are pregnant, breastfeeding, women with estrogen fed breast cancer, infants and young boys.

This is for my face, for acne.

Would diluting the lavender oil with pure grape-seed oil work?

How would you recommend using the lavender/grape-seed oil mix?

Also, I read somewhere that lavender can help with pain and sleep, how would I use it for pain and sleep?

Thank you

Sure it should be ok.
Jojoba is also good and should not be expensive, but if you have grapeseed, that is very good for the skin too.
Either mix one or two drops of the pure essential lavender oil in your palm with a good amount of the grapeseed, like 1/3 teaspoon. mix it up, rub it in your cleaned skin. or, take a bottle and fill it about 10%-20% lavender oil to 80-90% grapeseed, shake it up often.

For pain rub your lavender/grapeseed mix on sore muscles.
Inhale for emotional pain
Put a few drops of lavender on a tissue and put it in bed with you.
Or, put 10-20 drops of lavender in a spray bottle with water, shake, and make a nice sheet and bed spray

You can also try one drop of lavender or less applied directly to a stubborn pimple. Keep away from eyes. If your skin itches or gets red, use only the diulted oil instead.

Chapter One
Tammy Daniels scurried around her bedroom gathering everything she would need for her session tonight. Her best and only friend, Casey Micheals was coming over to help her work the Ouija board. Tonight would be the night she finally contacted a spirit.
In vain Tammy had tried to communicate with a spirit by ouijaing on her own. Finally, It was accepted that it took at least to people to Ouija.
Sitting down on the floor, Tammy pulled herself up to the very edge of the bed, putting her hand underneath the skirt of the comforter, she groped for the cedar chest that she kept all of her magical materials in. Her hand found it a few moments later. After dragging the heavy chest out from under the bed, she flipped open the metal latches revealing the contents within. Most of the items had been gifts from her mom’s mother, Grandma Leerid. All though Tammy’s mother, Matilda Daniels, didn’t want anything to do with witchcraft, Ms. Daniels mother was a fervent practitioner and a conqueror of the Craft.
Tammy’s eyes scanned over the everything on the shelves inside the cedar chest. Searching over tarot cards wrapped in double burnt, black, silk, an array of small candles colored red, white, green, and black, tiny jars of mugwort, sage, myrrh, and lavender, numerous viles of various anointing oils, her eyes finally met what she had been looking for. Propped up against the right end of the chest, she found her Ouija board.
Taking the board out, Tammy ran her hands over the rough surface of it. Also a gift from her grandmother, this was by far her favorite tool when it came to performing the role of a medium. Tammy purred with delight as she examined the board. It was made from Arabian wormwood and had each letter expertly carved out of the surface. The letters were arranged in a circle entrapping two words in the center: yes and no. The circles of letters were above to rows of smoothly chiseled out numbers. Each of the four corners was elaborately decorated with symbols representing all four of the major elements.
She pushed herself up off of the floor and placed the board and planchette on a fold out table set in the center of the room. After scooting two chairs parallel to each other beneath the table, she went back to the chest and selected all of the black and white candles. As she was setting them up in a wide circle on the floor, she took notice of the weather outside. Wind wailed through the trees and the soft pitter patter of rain became a steady drumming on the roof. Tammy was glad that the small storm was coming through; it would definitely set the mood and give tonight the right atmosphere. A loud knock at the front door interrupted her thoughts. Dropping the rest of the candles on the bed, she walked down the stairs and jogged through the kitchen to the living room. The knocking became more persistent against the oaken door.
“I’m coming!” She shouted.
Quickening her pace, she strode up to the front door, flung it open, and in stepped Casey wringing wet.
“Geez, what took you so long?”
“I was just getting things ready.” Tammy replied.
“Well, I can help you set up the room at least, I know a little about this Ouija stuff.” Casey said.
Turning, Tammy led Casey through the kitchen and back up the stairs, lingering as they went, flipping off all the light switches.
“Spirits like the dark,” Her grandmother used to tell her, “The light hurts them. Light to them, is like fire to us. Even for the good ones.”
“So where’s your mom at?” Casey questioned.
“They went out to dinner. It’s their 19th anniversary. They won’t be back for a while. Why?”
“I was just wondering. I know your mom is like a super Christian. She’d just flip if she knew this was happening in her house.”
Casey chuckled imagining the look on Ms. Daniels face if she came home to this “demonic travesty.”
Upon entering the room, Casey picked the candles up off the bed and completed the circle around the table on the floor. Tammy sprinkled blessed salt at the threshold of the door while saying a protection blessing. Once they were both inside the circle of candles, they each lit a match setting all the wicks aflame, and they took their seats at the table.
“Oh, I almost forgot.” Casey slid off her silver bracelet and placed it on the edge of the table.
“What’s that for?” Tammy inquired.
“It’s for protection from evil spirits; it has the same purpose as the blessed salt does. We need all the protection we can get. With the board, almost anyone came come through….or anything. You never know if a contacted entity is good or bad. We must practice caution.”
“Wait a minute,” Tammy said “I thought that you only knew ‘a little’ about this ‘Ouija stuff.’”
Casey shrugged her shoulders and grinned.
“Okay, more than a little.”
Placing both hands on the planchette, they forced themselves to relax. In a few short moments the tension in their arms fled. The session was ready to begin.
It’s a complex plot, but it starts out with these girls asking a demon to mainfest itself and the demon inhabits the house and won’t leave. The demon leads here places in the night, etc. You get the idea. Is it any good?
BTW I’m 15. Please be honest. Thank you!

This would make a pretty good book!

I planned to meet my crush and I bought her lavender and purple flowers. But, I came late to class and I think the teacher let them out early and I missed her! I saw the teacher but he didn’t notice me (lucky me I missed his class.) I looked if she was there and nope, she left. In fact the whole class left but 1 student who I don’t know. I left with anger for me not noticing time and being late and ruing my plan. I had lots of homework I can’t explain it.. I lost track of time, got stuck in traffic coming to school and I blew it. She had no clue of this happening so should I tell her how it went down next time? I don’t see her until the 17th and I don’t have her # or address. I hope the roses/lavender flowers don’t die out on me :’(

Phew I thought i was the only one…

I’ve been crushing on this girl in class and we’ve been talking to each other lately… I was planning on getting her something before Friday (our last day before the break) but I didnt have a ride to the store =’(

I really like lavender. I don’t have a green thumb but I want to know what it needs to be able to grow . Does it need shade or sun? Does it take a lot of water ? I live in southern New Mexico.

Your area is perfect for lavender. It’s drought tolerant. So if you don’t water it for months it’ll still be o.k.. I live in CA my lavender’s been growing under a huge tree, protecting it from the direct heat/sun, for at least 11 years now. I do have to prune off the dead dried areas. As long as you remove the dead heads (flowers that have bloomed and are fading) it’ll keep reproducing year after year. They don’t really require much maintenance at all. And this is in CA where the ground is mostly all clay-AS HARD AS A BRICK
